How to start New Year, 2014

Two Thousand and Fourteen!!!! Already? Is that right?

Each year, this time, I cannot simply believe how the previous year has passed so fast that I can’t accept the fact a new year has already started and been running. Especially, 2013 was very short for us. 6 months off from work and 5 months of travel made 2013 extraordinarily special and astonishingly short so, it is even harder to believe that the New Year has started. Time is viciously honest. All we can do is accept and move ahead.

The first day of 2014, I decided to run along the beaches (Dee Why beach to Manly beach) to make a good start of the New Year. While I was running, I was thinking about things to do that can make/help 2014 better and more valuable. These are absolutely personal determinations but I have decided to share with people so I can keep my words. Many people including myself start a new year with good resolutions but the resolutions can easily lose the strength and power as time goes by. As I don’t want it to happen to me in 2014, I am going to share some of my New Year resolutions so now you have got to keep an eye on my progress.

First one I have decided to do is writing my own affirmations every week. I believe when I say positive affirmations consciously, it helps to adopt positive BELIEVING as well as positive THINKING as I embrace these words in the situations that arise in my life. These are my week one affirmations.

1.      I am POSITIVE.
2.      Life is WONDERFUL.
3.      All is WELL.
4.      Today is an absolutely PERFECT DAY.
5.      I LOVE myself.

These are five of my New Year resolutions.

1.      Keep fit and healthy (5 times work-out per week, lose 2kg, drink 2L water per day, etc...)
2.      Buy a second property that brings positive cash flow.
3.      Complete 100 blogs
4.      Start up my own business and go on a part-time employment
5.      Painting more (at least 1 per month, on-line painting course)

My bucket lists to do in 2014 are hereunder.

1.      Learn how to cook 10 vegetarian meals
2.      Read 10 books
3.      Writing short summaries about movies, books, documentaries, etc...
4.      Camping more
5.      Ready to study Psychology
6.
7.
8.
9.

Frankly, I feel bit awkward to disclose my goals and wish lists but I have faith in my decision. I told you all so I have to try hard to keep my words. I recommend you to write down your goals that you wish to achieve in 2014 and share with your family or close friends, and encourage each other to reach them. You don’t need to reveal to anyone if you don’t want but you need to go back to the list and check how you are handling them regularly. Time never allows us to be laidback.
I hope all of us fulfil our dreams and wishes in 2014. Happy New Year!!!
