“The trouble with being in the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.”
-Lily Tomlin
It is a very, very boring Tuesday afternoon, while I keep trying to keep open my heavy eye lids and staring at THE TIME to run away from work, as always my husband sent me a link of an article from Sydney Morning Herald to read which woke me up. The article was about “Sebastian Terry” who set up his bucket list of ‘100 Things’ to do three-and-a-half years ago and has been accomplishing those things one by one. At the beginning, his courageous attempts were his personal journey/achievement but now thousands of people worldwide are following his challenges and also sharing their own To-do lists. I remember that I heard about him quite a while ago (He had accomplished about 20 things from the list then) while I was driving and admired his brave decision and his efforts so the article was a revived surprise.
Did you know that more than 80% of people employed are unhappy with what they are doing? Unfortunately, I am in one of them but fortunately for me, I acknowledge that and try finding the way to escape from the ‘rat race’. Therefore, people who make an effort to change their given life to their own life, like Sebastian Terry, inspire me a lot. They open my eyes and ears to pursue my dreamed life. I have to admit that my 9 to 5 daily life is eliminating my dreams which I really want to do and who I want to be by dangerous comfortableness and keeping away from my awareness of priceless time in my life. So, I relentlessly need to refresh my mind and remind my decision not to fade away my dreams without any outcome.
“Are you happy with what you are doing and how you are living now?
If you cannot answer my question “YES!” without thinking (within 2 seconds), you need to alter your current life. As we all know, life is not long enough to waste and we all have only one. While we are denying our current situations/problems, and being reluctant to change them by enjoying meaningless comfortableness, our life is being wasted. This is the reason we need to think what we really want to do and who we want to be in our life time diligently and take an action to achieve them. So I will start writing down my bucket list of ‘100 Things’ to do and share with you. Life without vision and goals are highly likely ending up as pointless time so I believe that it will be worth to sit down quietly and give yourself sometime to think about your current life and write about what you want to do/achieve in your life time. Achieving your goals is second important. The most important thing is realizing problems and acknowledge them, and being responsible to change them.
Feel free to share my dreams and goals.

If I can do all of these things..., even just thinking about it makes me smile. I have to admit that I cannot wish or accomplish some of his extreme (very special?) wish lists, such as sky diving in naked, Bunge jump, etc... In my view, main thing what he wants to show/teach us is that we have to try doing what we want to do as our life is too precious to waste on meaningless daily routine. If you have got dreams but you cannot stretch yourself to try/achieve them at the moment (as per your personal circumstances), it is totally fine. The most important thing is that you are aware of that you need a change and you are having dreams to reach. Why don’t you try to write down what is your bucket list of ’10 Things’ to do today? It will make your life brighter and more exciting.
